UPDATE: There has been an update in this story, and new information has been added to the end of the story.

With the massively successful release of Nintendo’s newest HD video game console, the Wii-U, there were bound to be issues right out of the gate. As with most new console launches, you can typically expect minor glitches and hiccups relating to system availability and initial setup. Though the Wii-U is having a bit of a tough time especially with the highly praised Nintendo Land…

Right off the bat, the initial day-one huge update for the system created a

When Dynasty Warriors 7 was announced some time ago, I have to be honest and say that I wasn't particularly interested in it. Upon seeing a few screenshots, watching the first trailer and reading up on it a little though, something caught my eye: Something very different was going on. Was I right to think so? ... I was at the mall the other day, randomly browsing a certain video game store. PS.: You are already dead.

Here’s the first review I did as a staff writer for GameFocus! Unlike the other one I posted earlier, this is the original English version.

Check it out at GameFocus.ca!

Odd choice of colors aside, nice logo!

Ah, good old Gradius! It… Um… Alright, I have something to confess. I cheated. That’s right, I cheated to beat this game, and I’m not even talking about using the Konami Code! You see, the above picture may be the first screen you’ll see upon starting the game, but this following screen is the one you’ll be seeing the most:

GAME OVER

See that? See where it says “GAME OVER”? Yeah. That was on the first damn level. Gradius kicked my ass because that’s just what it does, it kicks people’s collective

DuckTales! Oo-woo-hoo!

Remember back when Disney used to produce great animated shows, before they started crapping out all those tweens and poor excuses for entertainment? Back in the late 80′s to the mid-90′s, a ton of Disney shows came out, most of which were pretty good, and DuckTales was one of the best of the bunch. Well, it turns out that during that period of time, Capcom also made a bunch of great games based on Disney properties, including this one!

The Nintendo DS, circa 1989. My bottle of Frank's RedHot sauce is probably more technologically advanced than that.
